Blogging is different because you don't have to worry about spelling mistakes or grammatical errors. It also helps you because you have the Internet right next to you to search something.

I didn't really have a favorite because they were all a little interesting.

Stereotypes!

Stereotypes are so wildly known because they relate us to a culture, even if they aren't correct. I don't know how they start but they are sometimes offensive to people.

"that government is best which governs least"

I think Thoreau meant that the government which doesn't take a big role in society is a better government than one that controls their people. I strongly agree with this statement because the Chinese government wasn't good when they were a communistic country because they could control the citizens, whereas the American government is good in the fact that they don't control there people. Another good thing for a government that doesn't control is that they can have free-thinkers create the next technological achievement, which in turn they can export for money.

Change the way we teach!

I think we should change the way we teach elementary school children because they are very impressionable and will believe many things that you tell them. We should change the learning from, a little bit off the truth, to factual events. We can keep the type of material to a G-rated level and gradually, year-by-year, change it to a PG-13 rating.

Does history matter?

Yes history most definitely matters. If we didn't have history we wouldn't know where are relatives came from, how the earth was shaped and formed, and we also wouldn't know how are cultures existed, etc. I love to look at my family tree and trace it to certain points in history, so history is very important in my life and I don't know what I would do without it.

"History is the lie commonly agreed upon"

What Voltaire meant by this quote was that history is a debatable subject. There are many historical times that don't have all the facts to prove that it is factual. For example the moon landing; some people say that it was a hoax, whereas others say it happened. We will never no true historical events until we have all the facts.

Life must of been terrible for them, the only other time I have heard of singing whilst working was the slaves. One line that got to me was "It is not linen you're wearing out, but human creatures' lives." It sounds like they work in the factories their whole lives and it kills them. They probably worked harder than most people today for barely a fraction of what we make today. It is sad to see that many of our great grandparents lives were like this.

I think video games are a great way to teach children. They have many influences on children, with the ever contriversial topic of 'grand theft auto' being a bad influence on kids. If we did the opposite and gave more learning games to kids the might get a positive affect and teach them. However kids could get bored with learning games, that is why we would have to make the games fun so they would stay interested.

WE'RE MOVING, TO CHANGE OUR LIVES.

Teaching young people can be very influential, it can cause them to think about many things differently, that's why we should take great care in developing the minds of children. We should definitely change the way we teach children American history by making the stupid videos more factual. We should also teach the kids about dates and figures of history, and gradually increase the level of detail as they get older.

Many countries have kept some parts of their history out of the public eye because they are ashamed. I personally don't think that countries should throw away their history like it's an old piece of food. History is a treasure, if someone had accidentally burnt a book counting a piece of roman history we might never have known a key fact about the Romans, that's one reason why no country should disregard history no matter how atrocious. If your country has moved on and they're not like what they were when they did the things their ashamed about they should admit that their country did wrongs in the past and apologize, like the Germans with the holocaust.
